Sealed Fables is operated by RocketFang LLC, a United States limited liability company and the controller of the personal data described here. We respect your privacy and explain what we collect, why, and how we use it.
Information We Collect
When you create an account or join our waitlist, we collect your email address and role. Story participation may include a preferred name, locale, timezone, replies, and accepted attachments. For purchases, memberships, private-content access, and dispute evidence, we may also record the applicable terms version, consent time, IP address, browser user agent, access time, and resource identifier.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data to deliver purchased editions, personalize letters, keep the story timeline coherent, prevent abuse, and communicate service updates. For adaptive editions, accepted story replies and attachments may be processed by configured content-processing providers to produce story responses; the catalog explains how each edition works before purchase.
Payment Processing
Eligible digital purchases use Stripe Managed Payments, where Stripe acts as merchant of record and handles payment collection, supported indirect taxes, transaction receipts, refunds, fraud, and disputes. We provide the digital product and product support. We do not store or process card numbers or raw payment details directly.
Analytics
Operational logs support reliability, security and email delivery. With optional analytics consent, Google Analytics measures public-page and checkout interactions. With separate optional advertising consent, Meta Pixel sends public-page, story-view, checkout, lead and confirmed-purchase events to Meta to measure Facebook and Instagram ads. Providers may receive browser identifiers, IP addresses, device information and purchase values. We do not include email addresses, private story replies or payment-card details in event payloads. Declining either choice does not reduce service access.
Cookies
Essential cookies support sign-in, security, language and preferences. Google Analytics and Meta Pixel load only after their respective choices are allowed. Use Cookie settings in the footer to review or withdraw consent. Existing analytics-only consent never automatically permits Meta tracking.
Service Providers and Disclosures
Providers include Cloudflare for hosting and email, Stripe for eligible digital payments, Google Analytics and Meta with their respective consent, and configured content-processing providers for adaptive editions. Optional advertising disclosures may qualify as sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising under some laws; you can decline or withdraw Meta consent in Cookie settings. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service.
Retention and Security
We retain account, purchase, membership, correspondence, delivery, access-evidence, and audit records only while needed to provide the service, meet legal or accounting duties, resolve payment disputes, and enforce agreements. Raw quarantined inbound email is scheduled for deletion after 30 days. Access is restricted by role and private story assets are not public.
Your Rights
Subject to identity verification and applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data and exercise other available data rights. Contact privacy@sealedfables.com.
